When the cord finally ripped right out of my older one, I decided to order the same model (yes, the cord came out, but it lasted quite a bit before then). Sadly, the one i received does not work -- lights up but doesn't actually heat up. Be warned that Amazon has this item listed as non-returnable/non-refundable, so if, like me, you receive a non-working item, you are out of luck. Wrote the seller but no response yet, so unless you're a gambler, you may want to avoid this one, the quality control just isn't there.

The biggest issue is the cord. It heats up if left plugged in too long and that melts the sheathing around it and eventually requires it to be replaced or it does become a hazard. It will also overheat what it's inserted into if left plugged in for over an hour. It doesn't always shut off but no burns so far. One more point, it does take a while to heat up but that's because of its design. For 10 bucks, I certainly don't expect it to last forever or be amazing so for the money, it's a good buy.
